THIS DECISION VIOLATES EUROPEAN NORMS, SELLS THE COUNTRY OUT AND CONSUMES OUR FUTURE.

European trends show a gradual phasing out of nuclear power stations and increasing extent of sustainable solutions. The current Hungarian decision not only takes the opposite approach, but it also violates EU regulations on fair competition. Furthermore, it violates the European practice of publicity, professional and social debate and reasonable arguments playing a crucial role in such important decisions. In return for the unnecessary and oversized blocks, we sacrifice real financial, political and technological independence, the sovereignty of the country, which could be ensured by sustainable solutions. This pact ties up the country for decades, with no benefits whatsoever.
